FSI continues to downsize

FSI International, a manufacturer of capital equipment for the microelectronics industry, is continuing its downsizing efforts to meet its fiscal 1999 financial goals. FSI plans to reduce its global headcount by 14 percent. The reduction will affect about 150 employees and contractors, primarily at the company`s Minnesota, Texas and California sites. FSI has also scheduled four weeks of plant shutdowns during the first half of fiscal 1999. — TGW
