Ionics dedicates Mexico facility

Ionics has dedicated its facility in Acapulco, Mexico for the manufacture of sodium hypoclorite for water disinfection. Ionics will supply sodium hypoclorite for 10 years to the municipality of Acapulco and surrounding communities in the state of Guerrero through its distributor, Kilo Sodio, S.A. de C.V. It will be used to purify both drinking water and wastewater in the regions.

In other news, the governor of Massachusetts, the state where Ionics` global headquarters is located, recognized the company`s 50th anniversary by proclaiming two “Days of Celebration” in December honoring Ionics` contributions in the purification, desalination, treatment and supply of water. — TGW
