Mattson Technology, a supplier of advanced process equipment used to manufacture semiconductors, is providing multiple Asian companies with its Aspen RTP system, which is used in rapid thermal processing on current and next-generation DRAM, SRAM, flash, microprocessor and logic devices. Five manufacturers in Japan and Hitachi Nippon Steel Semiconductor Singapore Pte. Ltd. have placed orders for the system. Mattson officials expect the RTP market to grow at an annual rate of just under 17 percent over the next five years. — TGW
