Osmonics expands cartridge portfolio

Osmonics has agreed to purchase Johns Manville`s Hypure liquid cartridge filter business. The sale includes a cash purchase of the assets to manufacture the fiberglass disposable filters and a long-term supply agreement for the basic glass and synthetic fiber. Johns Manville reported 1997 cartridge sales of less than $5 million. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed. — TGW
