VPI lands on up-and-coming lists

Sheboygan, WI

Vinyl Plastics Inc., a manufacturer of flooring, packaging, automotive, medical and profile extrusion products, is an up-and-comer, according to two lists published in late 1998 by Arthur Anderson. The company was one of only 18 that made it onto the “Fast Track Wisconsin” roster of fastest-growing large companies in the state, and it moved up 50 spots over 1997`s ranking to land at No. 42 on the “Wisconsin 100” list. Both lists showcase private companies that represent significant growth potential in the state. The newly created “Fast Track” roster recognizes private companies with compounded annual sales growth of more than 20 percent over the past three years. To be eligible, companies` corporate headquarters must be located within the state and they must have at least 25 full-time employees and record a minimum of $10 million in annual sales revenue. VPI executives attribute the company`s recent growth to strategic acquisitions and product development. — TGW
