This in-line oven cures the lubrication layer on disks that protects the surface from possible read/write head damage. It can process up to 3,500 disks per hour, according to the manufacturer. The oven design employs a “walking beam” system to move the disks through the oven and eliminates vibration and particulate contamination. The unit also features multiple lanes and automated infeed and outfeed sections.
