Fourth quarter profits up at Envirco parent

Fourth quarter sales were up at Trion Inc., a supplier of indoor air quality products and parent company of Envirco, manufacturer of the Mac 10 HEPA filters. Trion announced 1998 fourth quarter net sales of $14.3 million and net income of $520,000, a 16 percent increase over the $12.3 million net sales reported for the third quarter. Overall, 1998`s net sales were $57.2 million, a decline from 1997`s net sales of $65.1 million, which the company attributes to the softness in Asian markets and the microelectronics market slump. The company also announced it will relocate Envirco`s manufacturing operations in Albuquerque, NM, to an expanded facility. — TGW
