Adams Healthcare Offers Free Guide to Sterile Alcohol Requirements

By Lisa Nadile

Adams Healthcare is offering a free CD-ROM describing the issues of sterility management using sterile diluted alcohol as a promotion for its Spiriclens Sterile Spray products.

Based in the United Kingdom, the company is providing the guide to manufacturers of sterile pharmaceuticals and parenteral imaging agents who wish to learn more about using 70 percent diluted sterile alcohol with water for injection in their contamination controlled environments.

According to the manufacturer, Spiriclens is produced in an MCA approved facility with a purpose build, fully validated, and externally audited “water for injection system.” The production process uses Class 100 laminar flow at the point of fill and a fully validated terminal sterilization process. Spiraclens uses a combination of IPA and WFI as the dilutent.
