The success of the 1999 DRAM market was key to the semiconductor industry's revenue topping $160 billion, according to preliminary results of a Dataquest survey. The estimate for last year’s revenue indicates a growth of 18 percent, which agrees with the estimate of 17.3 percent released last week by the Semiconductor Industry Association.
