Recently, FSI co-founder Joel Elftmann announced that he would retire as president and CEO after 26 years with the company. He will remain chairman. Elftmann’s replacement, Donald Mitchell, will take over his duties on January 17. Mitchell is the former president of Air Products Electronic Chemicals. “We are moving into a business cycle with new opportunities and new strategies. As such, it is appropriate to turn FSI over to a new CEO who will set a new direction for the future,” Elftmann said.
In an effort to better package a number of products acquired in the past several years, ATMI, Danbury, CT, has reorganized its materials group and named former Applied Materials executive Dan Marks as the unit's top sales vice president.
