Technology — March 16, 2000 — NASA Invests in Semiconductor Research

HUNTSVILLE, ALA—Nanoparticles in space? NASA wants them there, and has rewarded those scientists who are working to create them and those who are working on other processes to improve the quality semiconductors in its award of over $1.5 million in grants. The awards will be distributed by the organization during over four years as part of its microgravity materials science research initiative.
