Tra-Bond 5126 is a medium-viscosity, two-part adhesive for use as a bonding material for thermally ablative insulation substrates to aerodynamic surfaces in many aerospace applications. The product is a room temperature curable epoxy that contains no solvents and can be easily applied with a brush, trowel, roller or silk screening. It offers reliable bonds to phenolic plastics, polyester and epoxy laminates, glass, hardboard, and most metals. The epoxy is a good electrical insulator and withstands thermal, mechanical, and impact shock, as well as gases and vapors, petroleum products, water, weather, mild acids and alkalis, and many other organic and inorganic compounds.
