Ericsson Licenses ARM Microprocessor Cores for Bluetooth and Internet Access

CAMBRIDGE, UK & STOCKHOLM, Sweden—July 31, 2000—ARM and Ericsson today announced that Ericsson has licensed the ARM7TDMI processor core for use in its communication products. This agreement will enable Ericsson to re-use the ARM intellectual property among all its divisions.

FREMONT, Calif.—August 2, 2000—Pentagon Technologies has acquired Chemetal, a fellow semiconductor parts cleaning and reconditioning company. The cash and equity purchase adds Chemetal's parts PVD, CVD, etch, implant, and vacuum pump cleaning and reconditioning services to Pentagon's offerings.
