ESI Sends Component Manufacturing Systems to China

PORTLAND, Ore.—Aug. 15, 2000—China's technology push has trickled down to the component industry. Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. said it has received its the largest order to date, $14 million, from Team Young Advanced Ceramics. The purchase is for the company's electronic component manufacturing systems.
