Government Asks for More Info on JDS Uniphase-SDL Merger

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Aug. 24, 2000—JDS Uniphase Corporation and SDL Inc. announced today that they have received requests for additional information on JDSU's acquisition from the U.S. Department of Justice. The DOJ called for the information under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (“HSR”).
