Microchip Claims Taiwan Court Victory

CHANDLER, Ariz.—Aug. 8, 2000—Microchip Technology Inc. said today that the Taiwan High Court has denied the appeal by Syntek Design Technology Ltd. of Science-Based Industrial Park, Hsinchu, Taiwan R.O.C., to the April 1999 infringement ruling by the Taiwan District Court.
