Worldwide Semiconductor Sales Hit $16.6 Billion

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Aug. 4, 2000—Worldwide sales of semiconductors reached a record high of $16.6 billion in June 2000, an increase from $11.2 billion in June 1999, and a 48.1% year-to-year increase according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).
