General’s China facility now ISO 14001 certified

MELVILLE, NY — General Semiconductor, Inc., a manufacturer of discrete semiconductors, has announced that its facility in Tianjin, China has been granted ISO14001 certification.

ISO14001 is an international certification awarded after extensive site audits demonstrate compliance to the Environmental Management System Standards. General Semiconductor is certifying all of its facilities with the international ISO14001 designation, as part of the company’s continuing commitment to the environment. Its facilities in Ireland, Germany and France have already received the certification.—Mark A. DeSorbo
