Motorola Names Shlapak to Head Semiconductor Group

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Sept. 7, 2000—Motorola, Inc. announced that Fred Shlapak has been promoted to executive vice president and president of the Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS). He previously was senior vice president and assistant to the SPS president.
