Geneva, Switzerland–Sept. 21, 2000–STMicroelectronics recently completed its aquisition of Silicon Valley-based Waferscale Integration, Inc., a leader in flash-based programmable system devices (PSDs). In addition, STMicroelectronics has obtained Waferscale’s intellectual property, portfolio, and technologies developed in the field of non-volatile memories and memory systems.
