California Plastics Company Expands Cleanrooms, Opens New Facility

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – Oct. 3, 2000 – Fueled by the fruits of a strong market, Saint-Gobail Performance Plastics Corporation recently opened the doors to its expanded, 182,000 square foot facility.

Included in the new facility are considerably larger ISO Class 5 (Class 100) and ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanrooms. Specifically, the microelectronics business unit tripled the size of its ISO Class 5 (Class 100) and ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanrooms to around 2,000 square feet each. The machined and molded components business unit doubled the size of its existing ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) as well as added a second ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom in its molding area.

Officials from Saint-Gobain say the expansion will benefit both the company and its customers.
