AMD to Expand Dresden Site

DRESDEN, Germany — Nov. 9, 2000 — Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is expanding production capability at its Dresden-based AMD Saxony Manufacturing GmBh site by creating a new cleanroom.

German-based M+W Zander, which is active in facility engineering and management, has been called upon to construct a more than 30,000 square foot cleanroom above AMD’s Fab 30 facility, providing easy access to the existing cleanroom facility.

M+W Zander played a major role the in the construction of AMD’s Dresden facility in 1996.
