Construction Begins on New Nam Tai Facility

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Nov. 15, 2000 — Nam Tai Electronics Inc., broke ground earlier this month at the site of a new 138,000 square foot manufacturing facility that will house, among other things, a state of the art cleanroom.

Nam Tai Electronics Inc., is an electronics design and manufacturing service provider.

The new five story facility, located on the company’s existing Vancouver campus, will include a cleanroom to house advanced chip on glass and chip on board machinery, room for surface mount technology production lines, and office space for the research and development department.

Construction on the building is expected to be complete by the end of 2001 and is estimated to cost $15 million. Normal operations are expected to commence by March 2001.
