Austin, Texas–Nov. 17, 2000–To encourage research into environmental, health, and safety issues within the semiconductor industry, a $5,000 award is being offered to university researchers worldwide jointly by the Semiconductor Research Corp. (SRC), Semiconductor Safety Association (SSA) and International SEMATECH.
The award will be presented at SSA’s Annual Conference in April 2001 to the most promising university research in semiconductor manufacturing that integrates environmental, health, and safety considerations with productivity, cost, and throughput issues.
