San Jose, California–STMicroelectronics and Atmel Corp. have settled all claims against each other pursuant to pending patent litigation lawsuits filed before the Federal Courts of the Northern District of Texas and the District of Delaware. The companies now have entered into a broad patent cross-license agreement and are evaluating other areas of cooperation.

Both companies expressed satisfaction with the terms of the confidential license agreement, which they say reinforces the strength of their respective patent portfolios.
