SUNNYVALE, CA — GEL-PAK recently moved its QuikPak division into a new state-of-the-art facility in San Diego that boasts, among other things, improved cleanroom space and environmental controls.
The move doubles the facility size of QuikPak and offers more manufacturing space. The new facility also allows for expanded quality assurance and inspection capabilities. QuikPak offers prototype packaging for integrated circuits allowing quick design verification for new devices.
“The additional manufacturing capability in San Diego will allow us to keep pace with increasing demand from our customers, and will insure that service levels and delivery expectations continue to be met or exceeded” said Jeanne Beacham, president of GEL-PAK.
The company plans to use some of the additional manufacturing space at the San Diego site to manufacture its line of handling and packaging products which are used in markets and applications like semiconductor, medical, optical and disk drive industries.
