RALEIGH, NC — Genomics technology company Xanthon Inc. is planning to construct a new, 80,000 square foot facility that will house. Among other things, ISO Class 5 (Class 100) and ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanrooms.
The facility will also include a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory, engineering laboratories, and administrative office space. The facility is expected to be located on or near Research Triangle Park.
Xanthon, which was created to commercialize its patented electrochemical detection technology for the analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins, currently occupies 24,000 square feet of space in Research Triangle Park. The need for new space is being driven in part by a pojection expansion of Xanthon’s product line with the release of a new system for single nucleotide polymorphism analysis.
Clark, Richardson & Biskup Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been chosen to provide engineering design services for the proposed facility.
