June 13, 2001 – Santa Clara, CA – Integrated Device Technology (IDT) is going to cut 900 jobs, or 18% of its work force, due to a slowing demand for chips.
The company, which previously announced a reduction in expected revenues for its current quarter, said it will save $11 million per year from these cuts. IDT will record $2.5 million in severance costs, the company said.
