MAC Expands, Adds Cleanroom

June 6, 2001 — NEW BEDFORD, MA — Morgan Advanced Ceramics is installing an ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom as part of a manufacturing and engineering operations expansion at its headquarters.

According to officials, the company has added four new furnaces, a new kiln, a vertical machining center, a fully automatic furnace for metal injection moulding and three new injection moulding machines.

The company has all added five new engineers to its engineering department.
