July 18, 2001 — SAN FRANCISCO — Entegris Inc. is planning to buy Critical Clean Solutions, a Gilfroy, Ca.-based company that specializes in sub-micron cleaning and reuse services for high-tech industries such as semiconductor and disk drive.
Entegris this week signed a letter of intent to purchase the assets of CCS.
“CCS has been a pioneer in the cleaning and reuse of materials integrity management products and has validated a business model for our industry that saves our customers’ costs in delivery systems for wafers and disks,” said Michael Wright, president of Entegris’ microelectronics group. ” We are pleased to acquire a facility that will aid us in expanding our Global Services offerings and allow us to integrate our other recent acquisitions in a center of excellence for cleaning, reuse and recycling of materials integrity management products.”
Terms of the proposed acquisition were not disclosed. The two companies are expected to close the deal within the next month.
