July 9, 2001 — CRANBURY, NJ — Princeton Lightwave Inc., has started manufacturing optical components at its new advanced components facility at its headquarters.
The facility, which features more than 15,000 square feet of cleanroom space, has the capacity for 500 four-inch wafer starts per week. The company’s headquarters is approximately 90,000 square feet.
“Our timing for bringing up our manufacturing facility is right on schedule,” said Lou Wagman, vice president of operations. “This state-of-the-art, highly automated facility enables us to manufacture in volume while ensuring consistent, high quality standards.”
Princeton Lightwave officials say they intend to have more than 100 workers on board by the end of the year, and intend to hire “aggressively” as the site increases production capacity.
