Entegris Acquires TUMI

October 26, 2001 — CHASKA, MN — Entegris recently acquired San Jose-based TUMI, a supplier of precision cleaning equipment for the semiconductor and data storage industries.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Officials from the materials integrity management company said the deal will strengthen Entegris’ manufacturing ability.

“TUMI will enhance Entegris’ Silicon Delivery Systems and Services offerings, working in tandem with two other companies we recently acquired, Atcor Corporationa and Critical Clean Solutions,” said Jim Dauwalter, president and CEO of Entegris.

TUMI’s manufacturing capabilities include machining, mechanical and electrical assembly, welding packaging, and testing. The company was created in 1991.
