October 30, 2001 — NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Telecom component manufacturer Qusion Technologies has opened a new facility that includes 3,000 square feet of ISO Class 6 (Class 1,000) and 400 square feet of ISO Class 5 (class 100) photolithographic cleanroom space.
Qusion specializes in developing monolithically integrated optical components on Indium Phosphide.
Company officials say the new 8,000 square foot facility is a sure sign of growth.
“The opening of this state-of-the-art cleanroom emphasizes Qusion’s continuing growth and will enable us to begin producing components on a vast scale,” said Fred Rappaport, Qusion chairman. “We now have all the tools in place to launch the most advanced line of monolithically integrated modules.”
The company is also beginning the second round of VC funding. Qusion raised more than $9 million during the first round of funding.
