November 7, 2001 — NOGALES, AZ — Alpha Pro Tech, a developer, manufacturer and marketer of disposable protective apparel for the medical, dental, industrial safety, clean room and food service markets, says that demand for its N-95 Particulate Respirator face mask, which is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved, has required the company to add additional shifts. The company is also anticipating building additional equipment.
“During the past three weeks, we have received numerous requests regarding Alpha Pro Tech’s protective apparel and N-95 Particulate Respirator face mask,” Al Millar, Alpha Pro Tech’s president, said. “In order to meet current demand, we find it necessary to increase production.”
The N-95 Particulate Respirator face mask is certified by NIOSH for protection against TB and will stop particles that are one-tenth the size of Anthrax with a 99 percent level of efficiency.
