Jacobs Opens New Asian HQ

November 20, 2001 — PASADENA, CA — Jacobs Engineering has completed its new facility in Singapore that will serve as the company’s regional headquarters.

“Singapore’s central location, excellent infrastructure and investment friendly atmosphere make it an ideal location,” said Noel G. Watson, Jacob’s president and CEO. “We identified it as a preferred location in Asia five years ago. Recent wins in Singapore combined with out growth throughout the region now make our Asian operation a key contributor to the global success of Jacobs.”

Jacobs is currently working on several large pharmaceutical projects in Singapore, including two secondary manufacturing facilities for Schering Plough, a large pharmaceutical facility for Pfizer, and several tableting plants.

The company currently has more than 100 workers supporting nearly $1 billion worth of projects.
