Dec. 10, 2001 – Sunnyvale, CA – Maxim Integrated Products Inc. plans to set up a design center in India in the next few months.
The NASDAQ-listed firm said the design center will be engaged in IC design for a wide variety of Maxim’s analog, digital, and mixed-signal products, reported Asia Pulse.
Maxim Integrated did not disclose details of the size of the design center or the scale of investment. However, Carl Jasper, Maxim VP and CFO said the design center could grow to a substantial size over time if it becomes viable to operate productively in India. “It could significantly contribute to our IC design activities in the future,” he said.
