ISSI acquires R&D company

Feb. 13, 2002 – Santa Clara, CA – Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (ISSI) has acquired Purple Ray Inc., a privately held R&D company developing network search engines and content addressable memory ICs.

Purple Ray is located in Silicon Valley, and was acquired by ISSI for stock.

Purple Ray, a start-up, designs ICs that enable network systems to retrieve data bytes on a simultaneous basis, with up to four simultaneous, addressable searches per cycle, the company said.

Under the terms of this acquisition, ISSI will issue up to 652,000 shares in exchange for all outstanding shares, options, and warrants of Purple Ray.
