AEI opens new cleanroom; Cintas completes acquisition

May 15, 2002–Fort Collins, CO–Following its acquisitions of Aera Japan Ltd. and EMCO Flow Systems, Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (AEI) is opening three new ISO Class 6 cleanrooms in Taiwan, China and Singapore.

The company’s cleanroom in Hsinchu, Taiwan houses a 50–square–meter ISO Class 6 cleanroom and will support the Aera flow product line. The cleanrooms in Singapore and Shanghai will open in during the third quart of 2002.

"These new cleanrooms in Asia let us provide extremely rapid turnaround for flow product service. In addition, we’re now positioned to continually grow our support capability for power, thermal, source and data management products in these critical customer locations,&#34 notes Chris Near, Advanced Energy’s director of Asian operations.

Separately, cleanroom consumables manufacturer, Cintas Corporation has completed its largest acquisition to date, with the purchase of Omni Services, Inc. The revenues of the two companies combined, is expected to reach $2.5 billion, with uniform rental locations in 40 states and four Canadian provinces.
