SEZ America launches 300 mm lab

May 1, 2002– Phoenix, AZ–Semiconductor equipment maker, the SEZ Group opened its first 300 mm applications lab in the US. Approximately half of the 3,000 s.f. applications lab is designated ISO Class 4 cleanroom space.

The lab houses some 20 pieces of equipment, which is being used to test 300 mm wafer cleaning processes. SEZ is currently running demos for its customers who want to test their wafers for stress relief, polymer removal and wafer thinning, according to company reports.

"This facility will enable SEZ to be a value-add partner, working closely together with customers to combat cleaning challenges and find the most effective solutions for their processes" notes Kurt Lackenbucker, chief marketing officer of the SEZ Group. .
