LightConnect passes industry’s standard

June 26, 2002 — LightConnect Inc. said its MEMS-based dynamic gain equalizer surpassed international optical industry standards used to determine the quality of the manufacturing process.

The device received Telcordia certification, which includes various stress tests for temperature, shock, vibration and pull. Its performance was measured before and after each test, according to a company news release.

LightConnect’s MEMS-based variable optical attenuators passed Telcordia’s guidelines last year.
