InFocus enters second phase of SVI deal

July 19, 2002 — InFocus Corp., a Wilsonville, Ore., provider of digital projection equipment, announced it has commenced the second phase of an agreement with SVA Information Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shanghai General Electronic Group Co. Ltd and is supplying SVA with digital light processing engines to integrate with its large screen rear projection televisions.

The engines, built around digital micromirror devices from Texas Instruments, were optimized for SVA’s 50-inch rear projection televisions, which the company intends to make available to Chinese consumers later this year. The agreement between the two companies was inked in November 2001.
