Iridigm increases equity financing

July 3, 2002 — Iridigm Display Corp., a San Francisco developer of flat panel displays, announced an additional $8 million in financing, according to a company release, bringing its total Series A funding to $21 million. The round originally closed last October.

New investors include Qualcomm, Steamboat Ventures, VentureTech Alliance, Global Strategic Investment Fund and Prudence Capital.

The company’s iMod Matrix component is a MEMS-based reflective color flat panel display for mobile devices like cellular phones and handheld computers.
