Aug. 22, 2002 — Infinex Ventures Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia, has entered into an agreement with NanoWorld Projects Corp. to acquire a series of patents and related assets relating to NanoWorld’s Dynamic Thin Laminar Flow process. In addition, Infinex will acquire a 45 percent interest in NanoWorld Projects Europe S.P.A., NanoWorld’s Italian subsidiary, Infinex said in a news release.

According to the release, the Dynamic Thin Laminar Flow method is a rotating glass cylinder and particle injection system that creates ultrathin layers that allow for construction of unique materials.

Infinex said it will work with strategic partners to develop commercial applications for its nanotechnology including: flat visual display systems for automotive and aircraft dash boards, electro-optical lenses for eyeglasses, night vision glasses and car windshields, lenses for lighting systems, filtration systems and detection systems for biohazards, blood screening and water purification. Infinex also said it plans to license its technology to companies that will use it for large-scale commercial and industrial applications.
