USDR Aerospace to expand applications

Aug. 14, 2002 — USDR Global Aerospace Ltd., a developer of nanomaterial-based products, announced it is developing products based on its G-Lam material for applications that include replacement fairings for helicopters, anti-ballistic radomes, lightweight body armor, portable blast containment units, turbine engine containment systems and aircaft thermal/acoustical insulation blankets, according to a press release.

The company recently said it is currently in the final stages of FAA testing and approval for an airplane cockpit security door using its G-Lam material. It is a subsidiary of Caring Products International.
