GE completes NovaSensor acquisition

Sept. 23, 2002 — GE Industrial Systems, a division of General Electric Co., announced the completion of its acquisition of MEMS sensor developer NovaSensor Inc. from TRW Inc.

NovaSensor, which serves the medical, automotive and industrial process control markets, is now called GE NovaSensor and will operate as part of the GE Measurement & Sensing Technologies business within GE Industrial Systems. It will continue to be based in Fremont, Calif.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. In midday trading, GE was down 56 cents at $26.19. TRW was up 21 cents at $59.14.
