Nanosys hires new CTO, research VP

Sept. 17, 2002 — Nanosys Inc. has hired J. Wallace Parce as its chief technology officer and vice president of research.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based firm said in a news release it sought Parce for his success in commercializing new platform technologies. Parce was co-founder and vice president of research at Caliper Technologies Corp. and founder and vice president of research at Molecular Devices Corp.

Nanosys is focused on developing nanotech-enabled devices with potential applications in chemical sensing, as well as nano- and opto-electronics.
