Sept. 30, 2002 — Nanosys Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif., developer of nanotechnology-enabled systems, has signed an exclusive license with The Regents of the University of California for its semiconductor nanowire-based nanolaser technology, according to a news release.
The licensed technology is based on the work of Peidong Yang, a chemistry professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and a scientific founder of NanoSys.
Applications could include high-density information storage, high definition display, photonics, optocommunications, chemical analysis on microchips and nanolithography, the release said.
