Sept. 9, 2002 — The 26th Joint Conference of ROC-USA and U.S.-Taiwan Business Councils will kick off in Taipei today to allow its participants to discuss business opportunities, according to the China Post. The conference will be held in conjunction with the 19th Modern Engineering & Technology Seminar 2002.
The joint conference is usually held in September, and is a channel for enterprises from Taiwan and the United States to learn about the business opportunities in each other’s markets. Last year’s conference was canceled due to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States
The conference will give participants the chance to explore the expansion of Taiwan’s booming high-tech sector, and there will be discussions on nano-, bio-and MEMS-technology, the China Post said.
