Sept. 26, 2002 — Zyomyx Inc. said it has received its fourth U.S. patent related to protein biochip technology.
The newest, titled “Microfluidic Devices and Methods,” is a broad patent claiming a platform extension of Zyomyx’s proprietary system. The extension has to do with the integration of high-performance protein biochips with mass spectrometry analyses, according to a news release.
Zyomyx’s goal is to develop protein analysis devices that lead to the discovery and development of therapeutic and diagnostic products.
