Oct. 23, 2002 — Nanophase Technologies Corp., a Romeoville, Ill., producer of nanomaterials, announced a net loss of $996,000 for the third quarter, or 7 cents per share, versus a $1.4 million loss in the year-ago third quarter, according to a news release.
The company reported revenues of $1.3 million, up from $700,000 in the third quarter of 2001. Nanophase stock was up 10 cents, closing at $3.60 per share.
